Safeguarding Senior Practitioner - Good Ofsted - £46k
Low Caseloads so you can focus on Developing Effective Relationships with Service Users
A local authority which I work with is looking to further develop its Social Workers and as a result is looking for Senior Practitioners for their Children's services. The idea of bringing in more Senior Practitioner is that Social Workers will receive even more support ensuring that levels of practice remain high following a successful Ofsted where the Authority had achieved a Good rating.
- Good Ofsted
- Low Caseloads of around 17 (30% CP)
- Relationship Based Practice
- Range of Modular Training Available
- Opportunities to Work Flexibly and from home
- Established Management Team who are on a permanent contract.
As a Senior Practitioner your role will be diverse; you will have the opportunity to train, support and develop junior staff and as a subject matter expert you will also be holding a small complex caseload. Average caseloads for staff in the authority are in the region of 17 children with around 30% of cases being Child Protection, however cases are generally allocated based on workers' experience and current workloads.
The Local Authority considers effective and successful outcomes for children to be directly proportional to the relationships that Social Workers are able develop with their service users. As such the management team ensure that Social Workers and Senior Practitioners have low caseloads so workloads remain manageable and staff can focus on building relationships with the service users.
To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience as a Social Worker or have held a Senior Practitioner post. You should also have experience of working in a Child Protection, Referral and Assessment or a LAC service.
