Job Details

It is an exciting time to join the School, having recently secured AACSB accreditation as well as having AMBA for our MBA, and we are now seeking to recruit an outstanding individual for a key teaching and research position in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, who will help the Department of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DSIE) play a crucial role in the School achieving its vision.
The Department of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship comprises 14 academics with research and teaching interests in the subject areas of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship. The Department hosts an interdisciplinary Research Centre for Inclusive and Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which undertakes cutting-edge research on socially inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation. The DSIE, which has attracted research funding from UK research councils, EU, NESTA and other external funding bodies, constantly engages with a diverse set of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, business leaders and policy makers, to empower individuals and organisations to tackle critical contemporary issues that matter to entrepreneurial teams, businesses, society and governments from across the world. The Department offers an inclusive platform for interdisciplinary and impactful research and teaching in the following subject areas: social and sustainable entrepreneurship, social and environmental innovation, corporate social responsibility, family business, SMEs growth and international entrepreneurship, knowledge networks, technology transfers, digital ecosystems, innovation management, business models, strategy process and decision making. Topics, which are underpinned by theories of entrepreneurship, strategy, management and social sciences, are researched in collaboration with other departments/schools, by employing qualitative and/or quantitative methods as appropriate. A vibrant community of international PhD students is also fully integrated in the department which provides supervision of doctoral theses and opportunities for further PGR development via the support of a high quality School PhD training programme.
The Department of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship would like to hear from applicants with specific teaching interests in the subject areas of corporate social responsibility and social entrepreneurship with a particular focus on developing countries.
The successful candidate will have a PhD qualification, excellent academic and professional qualifications in teaching and learning in higher education and particular experience in leading a senior student tutor management role within a business school. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a proven ability in innovative teaching and learning approaches to support the DSIE highly reputable UG and PG programmes.
