Job Details

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM, www.ecpm.ch), located at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel, Switzerland, conducts quantitative-oriented research projects in pharmaceutical and health care settings, with a focus on health economic evaluation (cost-effectiveness analysis), related modelling, health technology assessment and health services research. For a one-year project, we are offering the position of a research fellow.

 

Your position

The successful applicant's background and professional experience allow him or her to plan, co-ordinate, conduct and publish research projects in health economic evaluation and related areas of research. Involvement in academic teaching can be considered.

 

Your profile

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree or master degree in health economics, epidemiology or another relevant discipline. They should have excellent skills and experience in cost-effectiveness analysis, decision-analytic modelling and related generation of model input data. They should have appropriate working knowledge of the following fields: medicine, biostatistics, epidemiological methods, evidence synthesis, and economics. Professional experience as an academic researcher is highly desirable, with a proven ability to publish in reputable, international journals with peer-review. Additional requirements include appropriate communication skills, ability to work independently, willingness to meet timelines, responsibility and enthusiasm. Work in our small, dedicated team implies a variety of responsibilities for all team members. Excellent mastery of English is required; at least good working knowledge of German would be an advantage.
