    The Division of University Operations supports the University in the achievement of its core objectives in learning, teaching and research by providing enabling services and effective resources. The division's priorities have evolved from the University's 10 year strategic plan, the Beacon of Enlightenment, with key projects centred around  people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes. 

    The Information Technology and Digital Services branch is a part of the Division of University Operations, which provides technology capabilities to support the University’s teaching and research objectives and business activities. 

    We are seeking multiple experienced Project Managers capable of performing as senior members and leading and inspiring project teams within the now established streams of 1) Student and Academic 2) Research and 3) University Operations.

    The Project Manager is a member of the IT Programs & Digital Solutions Delivery team, responsible for delivering a range of initiatives / projects and associated benefits, within particular area(s) of the business, that enable digital transformation and growth across the University. 

     

    The Project Manager has a pivotal role in ensuring a high level of customer service and quality outcomes by applying best practice quality assurance methods throughout the project lifecycle.

    Salary: (HEO9) $111,077 to $118,862.

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of up to 17% may apply.

    Term of position: 3 vacancies currently exist on a 2 year fixed term contract.

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have: 

    • Experience in the application of Project Management principles, techniques and common project delivery methodologies
    • Knowledge of the SDLC and application development and support environments
    • Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering IT projects in software application environments
    • Demonstrated experience in contract management and negotiation and the management of vendors
    • Experience in mentoring and coaching junior Project Managers as required
    • Experience in utilising Agile/SCRUM development and delivery methodologies would be an advantage.
