EMEA Indirect Tax Senior for a Global Technology Company

Our client is a global leader within the High-Technology arena. Their solutions are used to improve business processes & quality and increase productivity - get in touch with the newest technologies and therefore expand your skill-set!

Job tasks:

  • Setup and maintain the "best practice" indirect tax processes within EMEA and ensure key x-checks are in place and fully operational; document all processes in the Standard Operating Procedures and keep them up-to-date
  • Report on any indirect tax issues to EMEA VAT Manager and work on their timely resolution
  • Closely cooperate with Accounting Teams on the resolution of various indirect tax issues
  • Work with AP and AR teams to support customer and vendor inquiries related to indirect taxes
  • Keep the Oracle Indirect Tax module up-to-date with the latest local tax law changes
  • Close cooperation with 3rd party providers and FSSC in the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns within EMEA region in a timely manner
  • Monitor the pre-set KPIs - timeliness of VAT filing and quality of Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Coordinate and support any regional indirect tax audits with EMEA VAT Manager
  • Respond to internal audit or external audit inquiries related to indirect tax matters
  • Provide internal training to various departments - AR, AP, GL, COM etc.
  • Lead the Project of claiming the input VAT from the T&E expenses within EMEA

Job requirements:

  • Master degree in Finance/Tax and/or Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
  • Tax Advisor Certicifation would be an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the Indirect Taxation area (Big4 companies or SSC preferred); basic knowledge of accounting is advantage
  • Strong technical skills in indirect taxes, knowledge of EMEA region is advantage
  • Good communication skills, including excellent English, both written and spoken, strong presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and learn quickly, very good problem-solving abilities, able to work under pressure and to handle multiple requests simultaneously
  • Strong Excel and Word skills, knowledge of Oracle Indirect Tax module is advantage
