A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Backlog team which has been established to help assist the Assessment service to help clear off a backlog of cases.

The Local Authority is looking to clear off a backlog of cases and reduce average cases across Social Workers and have therefore created locum opportunities to help facilitate this shift. This is a part of the Local Authority's plan to help improve its performance and ultimately its Ofsted. This assignment will see you contribute significantly to the Local Authorities development which will in turn improve career prospects.

Candidates who take on the assignment will be able to work with a significant amount of autonomy, where they will be able to approach their workload in the way they deem to be most effective. You will still receive the full support of your manager without being micro managed. As a result of this approach managers are looking for confident Social Workers who have extensive experience within assessment services.
