    The Division of University Operations supports the University in the achievement of its core objectives in learning, teaching and research by providing enabling services and effective resources. The division's priorities have evolved from the University's 10 year strategic plan, the Beacon of Enlightenment, with key projects centred around people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes. 

    The Information Technology and Digital Services (ITDS) branch is part of the Division of University Operations, which provides technology capabilities to support the University's teaching and research objectives and business activities. The branch services the vast University community through four core services: IT Business Engagement, IT Programs and Digital Solutions Delivery, IT Operations and Digital Services, and IT Strategy Planning and Governance.

     

    The Manager, Test and Evaluation Services is a key member of the IT Program and Digital Solutions Delivery leadership team, and is responsible for providing professional test and evaluation capabilities for the ITDS Branch while building a shared vision of test and evaluation. This position will manage and enhance the test and evaluation capability within the ITDS Branch by establishing relevant policies, strategies, methodologies, techniques, tools and professional staff including leading the awareness of these capabilities across the University.

    The successful candidate will have broad IT experience and Test Management experience leading complex test and evaluation activities on large highly integrated solutions and demonstrate a commitment to inspiring teams and leading an effective Digital Solutions Test and Evaluation team.

     

    Salary: (HEO10) $122,720 to $130,819 per annum.

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% applies.

    Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately.

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have: 

    1. Broad IT experience and Test Management experience leading complex test and evaluation activities on large highly integrated solutions.
    2. Demonstrated experience in implementation and management of different test and evaluation strategies, including analytical, model-based, methodical, process- or standard-compliant, reactive and heuristic, consultative, regression and test automation strategies.
    3. Experience building capability and managing individuals, multiple test teams, managing off-site or offshore resources, and managing managers in a highly results oriented environment.
    4. Proven experience and knowledge of Software Quality Control and Software Quality Assurance of internal and supplier software deliverables.
    5. Experience of different project lifecycle models and projects with different levels of integration and a demonstrated ability to determine the appropriate test and evaluation involvement, the best test and evaluation approach and training needs for a project.
    6. Demonstrated ability to assess risks to schedule, cost or quality and provide mitigation recommendations, based on results from project test and evaluation activities.
