A postdoctoral position is available in the Myeloid malignancies laboratory at the Department of Biomedicine (DBM) in Basel. Our lab focuses on oncogenicsignaling networks driving leukemia cells, molecular mechanisms of resistance to current leukemia therapies and on the development of novel targeted therapies in different forms of leukemia including myeloproliferative neoplasms and acute myeloid leukemia using in vitro and in vivo approaches as well as patient materials (Meyer SC. Hematol Oncol Clin North Am. 2017. Meyer SC et al. Cancer Cell. 2015. Meyer SC et al. Lancet Oncol. 2014).

Your position

Include studies on mediators of bypass signaling as a mechanism of resistance to leukemia therapy and identification and validation of novel therapeutic targets. The candidate will work on an interdisciplinary Project with translationally relevant in vitro and in vivo models as well as Patient samples using state-of-the-art technologies.

Your profile

The successful candidate should be highly motivated, hold a PhD, MD-PhD or MD degree and have a strong interest in translational studies of leukemia signaling, resistance and novel therapies. Experience with leukemia / cancer mouse models including treatment studies is a plus.
