Our academic healthcare centre, Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International and the College of American Pathologists and includes four secondary hospitals and many outreach facilities.

The Department of Oncology offers comprehensive cancer care services to all patients. The services are provided through multidisciplinary teams. Infrastructure facilities include a daycare setting dedicated to oncology patients. Outpatient facilities include clinics of Medical, Paediatric and Radiation Oncology, Hematology, and Palliative Care.  The Department has 17 full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency programmes are offered in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Clinical Hematology Oncology, and a fellowship programme in Paediatric Oncology.

Responsibilities

You will provide dynamic leadership to the department and will have overall responsibility for the conduct of its education and research, and, collaborate with clinical leadership for service delivery, consistent with the mission and policies of the University and its Hospital.

 

Requirements

You must have suitable post-graduate medical qualifications with extensive academic track record of publications and securing grants preferably from extramural sources, along with clinical, administrative and leadership experience in a teaching hospital.
