Job Purpose
Applications are invited from medical graduates or anatomy graduates with considerable clinical experience for 6 Anatomy Demonstrator posts. You will be involved in teaching topographical and functional anatomy of the body, neuroanatomy and histology in small group sessions with up to 16 students, and in demonstration of prosected material in our prosectorium facility. You will also have responsibilities in marking written and oral examinations and of student presentations. We teach undergraduate students in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and other allied health professions, Biomedical Science and graduate entry Medicine. These posts are available for a fixed term covering the entire academic year and are suitable for people wishing to further develop their skills in Anatomy and in teaching
Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- A medical or dental degree and/or a degree in Anatomy or a related subject with sufficient and relevant clinical experience.
- Practical experience of applying the relevant skills and techniques for the role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse information and communicate effectively.
- Ability to access and organise resources successfully.
- Strong initiative and good teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work extra hours as required during busy periods
- A commitment to the delivery of high quality teaching
