Student Employability Centre

The Student Employability Centre is custodian of the UQ Employability Award, and coordinates and promotes a wide range of activities across UQ that empower students to enhance their employability including: global mobility; entrepreneurship and innovation; volunteering and mentoring; undergraduate research experiences; and leadership development opportunities.

The Centre enhances student employability through a focus on experiential learning, ensuring that students are able to capitalise on the benefits of the University’s diversity, research reputation and capacity, international partnerships, and strong links with industry and the professions.

The Centre also provides financial supports to enable students to access experiences, as well as supports to translate, articulate, and transfer these experiences into the workplace.

The role

Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders these positions will encourage sharing of best practice, innovation, and resources to promote and support Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at UQ.

The successful applicants will provide specialist, multi-disciplinary advice on the development and delivery of WIL, work collaboratively with staff across the university on WIL projects, and develop and deliver learning resources to improve WIL outcomes for students.

The person

Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of at least three- four years relevant experience and/or education/training. You will have sound knowledge and understanding of Work Integrated Learning and employability, and experience developing and delivering educational resources.

You will be able to establish cooperative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to expand and enhance Work Integrated Learning opportunities and practices at UQ.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,883.65  - $89,559.15  p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,803.87  - $ 104,784.21  p.a.).
