As Senior Teaching Fellow and Director of Teaching (Liberal Arts) you will be responsible for the continuing strategic development and day-to-day operation of the Liberal Arts programmes (BA and MLibArts) within the Faculty of Arts. You will act as Programme Director for these programmes, and ensure that performance and operational plans for Liberal Arts teaching are developed and achieved. You will be expected to provide academic support and guidance to students of Liberal Arts, and to contribute to the teaching of core units of the programme, at all levels. You will be expected to provide leadership in promoting innovative and effective practices of interdisciplinary teaching and assessment, and to take a lead in contributing to relevant University and Faculty educational initiatives such as Bristol Futures and Arts2020. You will undertake independent scholarship related to pedagogy and/or a field relevant to Liberal Arts. You will also play a key role in supporting the marketing of the Liberal Arts programme to meet student number targets.  As part of your role you will be responsible for developing a strong cohort identity for Liberal Arts, thereby ensuring an excellent student experience.
