Job Details

The successful applicant must have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HNC, A-Level, NVQ3 with proven work experience acquired in relevant technical support roles and job-related training. Possession of a relevant degree in a biological science or equivalent laboratory experience is an advantage. The ideal applicant must be competent in a wide array of elementary technical tasks, have experience of conducting laboratory based work to consistently high standards and operate effectively both independently and as part of a team. They will be proficient in the culture of mammalian and bacterial cells, as well as competent in a range of cellular and immunological techniques. Experience of working in a molecular biology environment would be advantageous, as would familiarity with the polymerase chain reaction and experience with handling and processing biological samples to derive cells.

The post is for a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months in the first instance.
