The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is a vibrant, multidisciplinary School with extensive teaching and research programs covering the fields of Geology, Geography, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences and Planning.
 

The role

The successful appointee will be engaged as a postdoctoral research fellow with Associate Professor Martine Maron. Applicants will support a multi-stakeholder research project led through the National Environmental Science Program’s Threatened Species Recovery Hub.
 

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD in applied ecology, environmental science or management, or a related field. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in ecology and conservation management, good general research skills including a willingness to conduct field work, a strong methodological background, excellent statistical and analytic skills, very good writing abilities, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time fixed term appointment for 2 years at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545.80 - $87,535.13 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408.58 - $102,416.1 p.a.).
