Job Details

The Department of History is looking to appoint a Teaching Fellow (0.7) in US history.The position is a fixed-term appointment for one year from 1 September 2018.The successful candidate will have: a PhD in history or be near completion of a PhD; demonstrated ability to teach on a range of modules including one on the US South; another on America in the World (1890-1980); and undergraduate and Masters-level modules introducing historical theory and methods; the ability to contribute experience of teaching in a university department or equivalent; fluent written and spoken English.

Higher degree relevant to research or teaching area or equivalent qualifications. High level analytical capability together with the ability to design and deliver module materials successfully. The ability to assess and organise resources effectively and an understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes.
