    The Faculty of the Professions is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. It is comprised of the prestigious Adelaide Law School, the School of Architecture and Built Environment, the Adelaide Business School, the School of Economics Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre, Institute for International Trade and the Centre for Global Food and Resources and the Future of Employment and Skills Research Centre. The faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and has strong connections with business and industry.     The Adelaide Law School is one of four schools in the Faculty of the Professions. It is the second oldest law school in Australia with a strong history of academic achievement. The school offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and continuing professional development programs for legal practitioners. It is home to a vibrant community of scholars and teachers who are committed to furthering an understanding of the principles and operation of the law.

    The advertised position offers an opportunity to become part of a stimulating international and national legal academic environment, and to make a significant contribution to the Australian legal academy and to the future of the Australian legal profession.

    Salary: (Level B) $96,135 - $113,788 per annum.

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies.

    Term of position: This fixed-term contract is available immediately until December 2018.

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    1. a capacity for, and achievements demonstrating, excellence in research and scholarship;
    2. a PhD, or enrollment and progress towards a PhD;
    3. a commitment to, enthusiasm for, and capacity to deliver excellence in teaching and learning outcomes;
    4. a capacity and willingness to contribute to the administration of the Adelaide Law School and the University in a collegial way and by adhering to equal opportunity principles;
    5. a capacity and willingness to contribute to other activities that enable the Adelaide Law School to take a vibrant role in engaging with the international, national and local legal profession and the wider community.
