The Department of Engineering Mathematics, part of the School of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Engineering Mathematics (SCEEM) at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in collective behaviour. This is a specific appointment for which we seek a specific set of skills.

A candidate is sought with expertise and research track record in social interaction modelling. We are also looking for a candidate with the proven ability to teach Engineering Mathematics, both to specialists and non-specialists, and to engage with masters and PhD project supervision. Preference will be given to a candidate with teaching expertise in probability and applied statistics. Extensive experience in interdisciplinary work and in public engagement are essential.  

Interest in developing novel teaching methods and/or interdisciplinary collaboration is particularly welcomed. We have a unique brand to offer students, as one of the only Engineering Maths departments in the country, and we pride ourselves on offering students a tool kit with which to solve real-world problems.

This post is being offered on a full-time, open-ended contract.

The closing date for applications is Friday 8th June 2018. It is expected that interviews will be held on Thursday 21st June 2018.
