Media Designer

The Library is integral to achieving world-class scholarship at The University of Queensland. The Library’s staff work in partnership with the academic and health community to provide convenient access to quality information, and to manage and provide access to UQ scholarship. The role

The focus of this position will be to provide creative support for the design, development and evaluation of high quality online resources for an academic community and translate learning materials into engaging digital formats. The incumbent will work collaboratively on online learning development projects, including contribution to communication design, photo images, video, audio and interactive media and other production requirements. The person

The successful applicant will have high level knowledge and demonstrated experience in design/publishing skills to support digital learning design, delivery and evaluation of innovative online learning modules and resources. Experience working with web technologies (eg HTML5), design tools (eg Adobe Creative Suite) and other relevant technology resources including education software, presentation and authoring tools. The applicant should have exceptional organisational and workload management skills.

Remuneration

There are three Media Designer positions within Learning and Research Services located at the St Lucia campus. The remuneration package will be:

• One continuing part time position (18:07 hours per week) at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $32,298.90 to $36,174.47 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $37,789.71 to $42,324.13p.a.).
• Two Fixed Term full time positions (36:15 hours per week) at HEW Level 5 for approx 6 months (until 21 December 2018). The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597.80 to $72,348.94 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $70,734.59 to $84,648.26 p.a.).
