  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritise own workload, respond to changing priorities and deliver innovative solutions to deadlines maintaining a consistently high standard of service and meeting client needs.

  • Good client relationship management and interpersonal skills and an ability to work closely with other people at all levels of seniority, both within and outside the University.

The Climate-KIC programme will support the delivery of a suite of programmes that aim to enable the realisation of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth through the development of innovative Low-Carbon products and processes.Promoted under the unified banner of the Energy Capital Climate-KIC Accelerator programme and managed as a block grant, its constituent elements include the Accelerator, Greenhouse and Pioneers into Practice initiatives.The programme will have a particular focus upon driving innovation within the Energy sector and aims to accelerate impact within the climate innovation space through collaborative research and development activity. This will be realised through the provision of targeted development support to Start-ups and Entrepreneurs and by coordinating activity that fosters relationships that spur collaboration between partners.

The Grants Administrator (Climate-KIC) will support the development and risk management of research- focused business collaborative projects funded via Climate-KIC. The support provided will encompass the full grant life-cycle including working with the Programme Lead (Climate-KIC) to support applicants to apply for funding, through post award and to final financial reporting and submitting claims. They will also work with the Programme Lead (Climate-KIC) to ensure funds are administered in line with the University’s procedures whilst also ensuring compliance with Climate-KIC/EIT funding guidelines.

This will require the development and use of appropriate financial monitoring and reporting systems to produce reports for both internal and external purposes.In addition, they will also support the production of financial management reports as necessary for both internal and external purposes.The Post Holder will work with academic researchers, Research Development Managers and Business Engagement Managers in project development, post-award management and identifying and disseminating funding opportunities.In addition, the Post Holder will work to develop and maintain proposal development, project information and promotional and in-depth case studies (including webpages).
