Job Details
- First degree in science or engineering discipline relevant to the project and PhD in area relevant to metal recovery via physical processing
- Prior knowledge, experience and achievements in mineral processing/ waste reclamation.
- High level analytical capability.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
- Fluency in relevant models, techniques or methods and ability to contribute to developing new ones.
- Ability to assess resource requirements and use resources effectively.
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes.
- Contribute to the planning and organising of the research programme and/or specific research project.
- Co-ordinate own work with others to avoid conflict or duplication of effort.
Job Purpose
To contribute to the development and optimisation of new physical processing routes to recover critical metals from lithium battery wastes as part of the ReLIB project. To work as part of a multidisciplinary research team with the other ReLIB researchers at the University of Birmingham and at the other partner UK universities.
