Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your teaching career in a dynamic and growing School within a Russell Group University?

Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience?

With enthusiasm for teaching in mechatronics and robotics, this is an opportunity for a talented, motivated individual to make an impact on student education in the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The School is one of the leading Electronic and Electrical Engineering schools in the UK with over 100 years’ experience in both teaching and research excellence. We are in the top five in the UK for the quality of our research and we are ranked 3rd in the Guardian university league tables (2018) and achieved 93% overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2017. We currently have over 550 students from 60 countries studying with us and we also have around 45 academic staff engaged in teaching and research. We need to recruit an enthusiastic member of teaching staff to help develop and deliver our Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Mechatronics and Robotics. Your role will involve teaching through lectures, tutorials and laboratories, and setting coursework and examination assessments. You will update the learning resources as appropriate and will contribute to ensuring students receive an outstanding educational experience. You will have technical experience in mechatronics or robotics, gained either in industry or within higher education, including knowledge of embedded systems/programming and electronic circuit design. In addition to demonstrating enthusiastic and effective teaching skills, you will demonstrate excellent team working skills with an ability to work in a cross-cultural team, and possess excellent communication skills.
