Job Details

Turner Sims is now seeking an exceptional individual to manage all aspects of Jazz South.  The successful applicant will recruit and monitor freelance specialists and partner organisations; project manage key elements of work including budget management, fundraising, event management, and promotion.  They will also liaise and manage relationships with members of the jazz sector, project partners, artists, and advisory groups, organising and chairing meetings as required.  

You will have experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, a proven ability to plan and manage events of varying scales and complexity, and a practical working knowledge and experience of music and cultural/arts administration in general and the jazz sector in particular.  An understanding of and experience in successful fundraising from various sources is crucial as is a demonstrable ability to manage and balance your own workload and the workload of others.

The full-time fixed-term post requires work during ‘unsocial’ hours, attendance at concerts and events, and travel across the Jazz South regions and occasional travel elsewhere.  The role is likely to be home-based with access to desk space at Turner Sims as and when required.

Interviews are likely to take place on Thursday 19 July.
