Do you have a good understanding of supporting children and families in different contexts?

 Are you able to communicate complex concepts and enable learners to overcome obstacles in their development of knowledge and understanding?

Do you have a practical understanding of the needs of diverse learners, including adults from communities that are under-represented in Higher Education (HE)?

The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) offers a Foundation Degree in Child and Family Studies along with top-up programmes at honours level.  These are part-time and designed for students who are actively engaged in work with children, young people and families.  Integration between academic and professional learning is a key feature of the programmes, as is support for participants in the acquisition of skills for success in higher education.The programmes are currently delivered using a flipped learning pedagogical approach.  The face to face delivery is during the afternoon and early evening and aimed at mature students who have a level of work experience to support their classroom learning.You will take responsibility for a number of Child and Family Studies/Family Support related modules within the LLC with emphasis on contemporary social policy, research methods and research informed practice with children and families.  You will cover preparation, student support and marking as well as module design and delivery of the module.
