Environmental Metabolism Scientist - build your career

This will be of appeal to those from a Laboratory Technician level looking for long term scope and progression into Study director level. You will join a leading customer service sector provider offering environmental testing, regulatory services and Toxicology services.

Our client seeks a Scientist within Metabolism to be involved in a wide range of metabolism studies including but not limited to plant, soil or animal metabolism.

Main duties and responsibilities

Perform duties as per Laboratory Technician and support the metabolism unit for all regulatory related studies.

Perform more complex experimental techniques e.g. dose preparation and assessment, dose administration/application, HPLC set up and analysis, as required.

Responsible for laboratory conduct of each assigned study, therefore working closely with Study Directors.

Prepare dose theory calculations; Supervise Laboratory Technician on assigned study; Calculate and QC check data for review by relevant Study Director; Prepare experimental worksheets; QRA data completion (check for repeat analysis as appropriate); Prepare study updates and study data for communication to the client and inclusion into reports.


Educated to degree level within Science or related field

Education or work experience linked to metabolism of any guide whether this be environmental, analytical metabolism.

Ideally coming from a laboratory background with good foundations within analytical separation techniques.
