Technical Specialist Bioanalysis
Acting as a provider to a number of sectors ranging from environmental to chemical, our client offers one of the most anticipated consultancies of 2018. Given a significant strategy overhaul and headcount investment, it promises a bright future for those joining new teams and taking on fresh new projects. The current recruitment strategy is creating an industry buzz which could contribute further to your career in a Consultancy.
To carry out quantitative LC-MS/MS method development and trouble shooting. Provide specialist analytical support for bioanalysis and the wider metabolism department.
Be the go- to person for LC-MS/MS and LC method development. Provide analytical trouble shooting support across the department, as required. Perform method development on large and small molecules.
Train and mentor less experienced staff in method development and operation of mass spectrometers. Interpret data and provide accurate written reports for studies, as required.
Provide analytical support for regulatory and non-regulated bioanalysis, in-vitro and ADME studies.
Act as an interface with contract service support provider for LC-MS/MS, calling engineers and managing instrument break-downs to ensure minimum instrument down-time.
Manage and maintain instrument maintenance records, ensuring they comply with departmental SOPs and are available at all times for QA or external auditor inspection.
Identify new technologies, which could be of significant benefit to the group, improving capability or reducing operational costs.
As a recognized expert within the industry increase the profile of the department externally through playing an active role in expert groups, networking and publications.
Actively contribute to client visits and teleconferences.
Encourage a continuous improvement culture, proposing process improvements/new service offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
BSc or PhD in Chemistry or related discipline
Experience in Regulated Bioanalysis in a CRO or Pharmaceutical company
Method Development & Troubleshooting
Expert in LC-MS/MS
Expert in Method Development & Troubleshooting
LIMS systems
Automation
Detailed knowledge of Regulated Bioanalysis guidelines
Large molecule bioanalysis
