As a Senior Data Scientist in this contract position will see you cover a wide variety of projects for this pharmaceutical giant. Working with the data collected from the molecules/medicines and also the patients you will be impacting the work being conducted in R&D to help further support health care decisions across the organisation and the patients that they work with.

Your main responsibilities will be:

* Identify evidence needs & recommend data solutions: ask the right scientific questions, understand the evidence needs for research and development, regulatory and market access, and ideate and make recommendations on fit-for-purpose data and analytics solutions.

* Develop a comprehensive and deep understanding of the data we work with using analytical tools and applications to broaden data accessibility and advance our proficiency/efficiency in understanding and using the data appropriately.

* Staying current with and adopt emergent analytical methodologies, tools and applications to ensure fit-for-purpose and impactful approaches.

* Produce high quality analyses: apply rigor in study design and analytical methods; plan for data processing; design a fit-for-purpose analysis plan, assess effective ways of presenting and delivering the results to maximize impact and interpretability; implement and/or oversee the study, including it's reporting; ensure compliance with applicable pharma industry regulations and standards.

Being based on site in Welwyn Garden City you will benefit from working with some of the best professionals in the industry, collaborating on projects and with everyone putting their heads together working through the best solutions for data collection and reporting. Easily accessible from Central London the site is a short commute from the main train station.

Being a 6 month contract this is a ideal way to see out the rest of the year and keep you stable right up into 2019, for the right candidates and based on the work load there could potentially be room for extension. So this could in fact turn into a much more lucrative opportunity.

The role may require 2-3 trips to Switzerland as part of the contract.

The requirements for this role are as follows:
MSc PhD degree in Epidemiology, public health or Pharmacoepidemiology
5+ years of Industry experience
Proven track record in translating complex study design and results to audiences.
