Applications are invited for a two-year Research Associate position in the Bristol Interaction Group within the Dept. of Computer Science at the University of Bristol. The post-holder will be highly motivated and talented researcher with a background in electrical and electronic engineering, and with some experience of acoustics, printed electronics or bioprinting. The role is part of an exciting project to develop an ultrasound-based printing technique as a platform technology which can be used to create inexpensive, high-resolution components, fabrication of scaffolds for tissue engineering, and other biodesign applications.

The post holder will:

  • Help design and develop an ultrasound-guided printer
  • Generate and test prototype printed electronic components using this printer
  • Design related devices and techniques for emerging applications in bioprinting

 

This post is being offered on a full time, open-ended contract for up to 24 months.
