For their light vehicle advanced engineering team, part of the Electrification and Mechatronics Engineering Group that is headquartered in their facility in Bruges, they are looking for a core systems engineer.

We are searching for a skilled and motivated candidate in the area of Driveline Systems to support the development of mechanical and electrified driveline systems for its Light Vehicle business unit.

Our client will consider both permanent and contract staff depending on the circumstances.
The position is full time and based in Brugge, Belgium.

Responsibilities:

-Lead design and development of new and innovative driveline products/systems from concept to production with emphasis on electrified product portfolio; includes responsibility for delivery of both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Develop and implement product demonstration strategy, including vehicle-level drive evaluations, with "end game" view of vehicle level attributes, and customer "why buys".
- Work in partnership with Program Management, Mechatronics and other business units to align and execute product strategy.
- Lead generation of all engineering/quality documentation (DFMEA, DVP&R, Functional Safety, etc.), with emphasis on full requirements cascade.
- Identify competitive benchmarking needs and work in partnership with benchmarking organization to collect needed data.
- Follow Stage Gate development processes to meet project goals including budget, timing and quality of delivery.

Requirements:

You are able to travel internationally (10% typical);

You are fluent in English;

You must be able to work in an international, diverse team.
- You have a master science degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in project & product management of driveline systems is required.
- You have a strong experience applying Systems Engineering Fundamentals (SEF), including creation of all quality documentation such as DFMEA, DVP&R etc...
- You have awareness and/of working knowledge of ISO26262 / Functional Safety and requirements mgt. tools such as Doors, Polarion, VSEM, or Enterprise Architect.
- Working knowledge of drivetrain manufacturing/assembly and vehicle assembly methods is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables and lead resolution of issues.
- You have strong organization, problem solving and communication skills.
