Are you interested in designing artificially intelligent reactors for the synthesis of controlled structure polymers?

Do you have experience in continuous-flow chemical synthesis or synthetic polymer chemistry?

Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

We are seeking a Research Fellow in Intelligent Polymer Synthesis to join the emerging digital chemistry and manufacturing team at the University of Leeds. This EPSRC-funded project will be based in the School of Chemical and Process Engineering and closely affiliated with the Institute of Process Research and Development (iPRD) and the Colloid and Polymer Engineering group (CPEG). You will combine the latest advances in polymer science, continuous-flow chemistry, online monitoring and machine learning to develop a sophisticated polymer synthesis platform. Similar technologies are already causing a paradigm shift in small-molecule chemical manufacture, and given well-defined polymers’ prominent contribution to the next generation ‘smart-materials’, it is important that they are optimised appropriately for polymer synthesis.
