The 1.0 FTE Teaching Associate in World Literatures will teach on the BA in English Literature, and associated joint honours programmes, in the Department of English.

You will have been awarded, or will be close to completion of, a PhD in contemporary World Literatures (20th and 21st century) and will have some experience as a university teacher and some knowledge of administration of teaching in higher education, including assessment and marking.

You will contribute to and develop teaching in the Department of English, including in the area of World Literatures. This post seeks to strengthen the Department’s commitment to widening participation and diversity on the BA programmes and more broadly. 

The appointment start date is 1 September 2018. This is a fixed-term (maternity cover) appointment for 11 months, ending on 31 July 2019.

Timescale of appointment

Short-listed candidates will be notified on or about Friday, 3 August 2018 and invited to interview. Short-listed candidates will be asked to give a brief (five-minute) presentation as part of their interview. Details will be given when notified.

Anticipated interview date: Tuesday 14 August 2018.
