Pediatric Hematology/Oncology-Faculty Position

Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System, seek candidates to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Specifically, we seek candidates with clinical expertise and research interests in neuro-oncology.

The successful candidate will join a busy practice, consisting of a pediatric neurosurgeon, neuroradiologist, and dedicated nurse practitioner, with shared access to social workers, psychologists and clinical research staff.  Specific training in a formal neuro-oncology fellowship program is preferred. Candidates with strong backgrounds in basic science research related to neuro-oncology will be favorably considered.

In addition to contributing to ongoing trial accrual, clinical candidates will also have an opportunity to potentially develop independent research initiatives with a broad range of potential clinical and internationally known basic science collaborators with strong research programs, including clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, and Phase 1 clinical trials , as well as with the Child Health Institute of the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and also participate in a broad range of teaching initiatives with medical students, housestaff, and fellows.  Fellowship training and MD required. The candidate must also be board certified in pediatrics and be board certified/eligible in hematology/oncology. Rank will be commensurate with experience and level of training.
