Job Details

We are seeking up to two Research Associates to work with Professor David Murphy (Bristol Medical School) and Dr Colin Campbell (School of Engineering Mathematics) on a BBSRC-funded project entitled: “The role of RNA binding protein Caprin2 in osmoregulatory dysfunction in old age”.

The objectives of the project are to understand: 1) the mechanisms whereby brain RNA binding protein Caprin2 controls a brain gene network responsible for osmotic balance. 2) how the Caprin2 network changes in old-age.

We will now use a range of in vivo, in vitro and molecular models to address these objectives.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.  We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
