Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow on Experimental Ultrafast Optics

We are seeking to appoint to the Programme an outstanding experimental researcher. The successful candidate will possess PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a relevant topic with ample experience in ultrafast optics including light sources and instrumentation. They will join the world-renowned Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton, UK (www.orc.soton.ac.uk) and will work under the supervision of Prof. Nikolay Zheludev, FRS (niz@orc.soton.ac.uk).

Once appointed, your job title will be either a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow. This position is available for 24-months with a possibility of an extension. 

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
