Work Pattern:
Monday-Thursday 8.45-4.45
This includes Easter Monday, Easter Closure Tuesday, May Day Bank Holidays, August Bank Holiday Monday, August Closure Tuesday and January 2 where it falls Monday-Tuesday to support front line services within the ASSL zone.
Responsibilities:
This role is a 50/50 split working between two Library Services teams, Monday and Tuesday within Customer Services Team Wednesday and Thursday with the Content Procurement Team:
You will deliver front line services from a busy Information Desk to support students to use both physical and digital resources for study and research. This includes answering both physical and virtual enquiries requiring excellent communication skills. Support is also delivered at the point of need via roving and the successful candidate will have an excellent customer focus and the ability to triage a wide range of enquiries including providing basic IT assistance. You will contribute to the activities of the Content Procurement team, working to ensure the timely and efficient processing of serials and other subscribed resources, and supporting the inter-library loans service.
