The Solar Energy Materials and Systems Group (SEMS) announce a posdoctoral position in the frame of the IGNITE Project, in the research line of:

DEVELOPMENT OF WIDE BAND-GAP CHALCOGENIDE ABSORBERS ONTO TRANSPARENT SUBSTRATES FOR ADVANCED PHOTOVOLTAIC APPLICATIONS

The candidate will carry out a multidisciplinary scientific activity centered in the synthesis and characterization of wide-bandgap chalcogenide absobers based on kesterites, onto transparent substrates with the aim to develop thin film PV devices that can be integrated into tandem concepts. This includes the synthesis and characterization of these materials, the optimization and characterization of the corresponding solar cell devices, and their integration into tandem concepts using Si as bottom cell.

The candidate will work in the frame of IGNITE project of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain.

Requisites:

The candidates need to be in position of the PhD Diploma in Physic, Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent, before the incorporation date. Previous experience in thin film chalcogenide photovoltaic technologies, and especially in the synthesis, fabrication and advanced structural and electro-optic characterization of chalcogenide based solar cells will be very well evaluated.

Deadline: 15th August 2018 at 17:00 hs.

Starting date: November - December 2018

Duration of contract: 6 months of trial period (24 months maximum, renewable yearly)
