    The Vice-Chancellor and President is the chief executive officer and principal academic at the University. The Vice-Chancellor's division is responsible for the University's management and administration, and leading the organisation's strategic vision and plan. The division encompasses the Council Secretariat and the External Relations Branch.

    Council Secretariat supports the University Council to which the Vice-Chancellor and President reports.

    The External Relations Branch comprises of two units; Advancement and Partnerships and Corporate Relations – its purpose to create opportunities and the ecosystem to connect, engage and inspire our stakeholders, alumni and donors in support of the University’s mission. The Branch’s portfolio areas include industry, government and community relations, the media team; as well as the Development, Alumni and Data & Systems (CRM) teams.

    Working under general direction, the Data and Systems Officer supports External Relations operations and data requirements. In addition the position provides technical advice, system monitoring, training and support to staff, stakeholders and external customers with regards to External Relations systems.  

    Salary: (HEO5) $69,262 - $77,057 per annum

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies.

    Term of position: This fixed term Maternity Leave cover opportunity is available until 29 July 2019

     

    Position requirements:

    To be successful you should have: 

    • Experience and understanding of database systems, building complex queries, analysing results and preparing reports.
    • High-level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Access.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential data.
    • Experience in delivering training in one-to-one and group environments and preparing training materials.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines and solving problems in an innovative and creative manner.
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of the Australian Higher Education sector preferred.
