Researcher - Solid State Batteries Line

CIDETEC is an organization for applied research that integrates three international reference institutes in the fields of energy storage, surface engineering and nanomedicine.

CIDETEC is looking for a researcher to perform research in solid state batteries line within the Materials for Energy Unit.

 

We are looking for a high qualified researcher with extended experience in the energy storage field who is capable to manage and develop research projects in the area of solid state batteries. A successful candidate must demonstrate proven track records of high level investigations and capabilities in European and international environment.

The researcher will be incorporated into Materials for Energy Unit working within the framework of research and/or industrial projects. He/She should be able to optimize available resources in order to simultaneously carry out several research lines with maximal output.

The researcher will work independently in accordance with established working plan. He/She will be responsible for the development of solid state batteries with high energy density. This development requires good knowledge of synthesis, preparation and characterisation of different types of solid electrolytes; physical-chemical characterization of materials and components of solid state batteries; development and scale-up of electrodes and solid electrolytes; assembly and testing of solid state batteries (coin and pouch).

 

Moreover, he/she will participate in:

• Generation of new ideas / concepts and carry them to the realization.
• Collaboration in the generation of documentation related to the search for funding.
• Clear orientation on product / market / results (term, cost, time).
• Achievement of targets defined in annual plans.
• Continuous monitoring of the SoA / Market.
