Job Details
The combination of the two techniques aims at mapping the stress evolution of cell aggregates during their formation, and relate this to growth rates. The retrieved data will be employed for the data-based modelling of collective cell behavior.
Candidates should be motivated for both experimental and computational techniques in mechanobiology and cell mechanics, with ideally a background in mechanical modelling and cell biology.

Salary: between 1768.55 € and 2100 € gross per month (depending on complementary activity or not). A double PhD diploma (UGA and UPC) will be issued at the end of the PhD is evaluation is positive.
A Master degree in Engineering, Physics or applied sciences is required before enrolling for the PhD, which should start no later than the end of 2018.
Eligibility check of applications in 24/08/2018
1st round of selection: the applications will be evaluated by a Review Board in 29/08/2018. Results will be given in 02/09/2018.
2nd round of selection: shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview session in Grenoble on 10/09/ 2018. (if necessary)
The PhD is a joint supervision between Université Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, 18 months) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barelona, 18 months).
