Are you an experienced Research Project Officer with an interest in disability rights and a commitment to working in ways that are inclusive and accessible?

Do you enjoy managing research projects?

Are you an excellent communicator with an interest in liaising with partners in other countries?

Do you have strong skills in organisation and management and in social media and publicity?

We are looking to recruit an experienced Research Project Officer to manage a 5-year European Research Council project on Inclusive Public Space.The Inclusive Public Space project will investigate the inclusiveness of streets for disabled and older people in China, Kenya, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. It will consider the role of law and politics in ensuring that these public spaces are accessible, and will contribute to enhancing inclusive public infrastructures in countries across the globe. Alongside the Research Project Officer, there will be four members of the core project team: Professor Anna Lawson (Principal Investigator) and three postdoctoral research fellows.You will play a key role in managing and co-ordinating this project and will be expected to have a personal commitment to working toward enhancing social justice as well as demonstrable skills and experience in research project management. The role will be based in Leeds and you will work closely with the Principal Investigator and other members of the project team.The University of Leeds is a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
