Job Details

The post holder will need to challenge existing ways of working, where they do not meet this customer centred approach, and work closely with service delivery teams to define new ways of working

The Service Analysis and Improvement Team will develop and regularly produce a suite of ITIL based reports designed to track performance against a range of service metrics.  The team will also use these reports and a range of other activities to identify areas of best practice and service improvement opportunities.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and need demonstrable experience in providing a logistics service in a similar environment. The University is a complex and constantly changing organisation, hence our requirement for someone who understands business processes and is able to initiate and implement new processes to support the changing organisation. This is a busy and key role that impacts on the overall performance of the department.

You will be working within an ITIL-based quality assurance framework, and experience of working in a similar customer service/delivery environment will be invaluable. iSolutions provides a professional and wide ranging portfolio of services; to make the grade you’ll need to interact affectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

This isn’t a job for the faint hearted! iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group and we provide a broad and complex range of ICT services to support our diverse user community of more than 25,000 students and over 5,000 University staff, within an ITIL based quality assurance environment. We operate across several campuses in the Southampton and Winchester areas and are increasingly diversifying internationally with multiple international collaborations.

The University of Southampton is one of the top 10 research universities in the UK and ranked in the top 1% globally.  This level of success is inextricably linked with, and supported by, the centralised provision of ICT Services.

We offer excellent benefits including the opportunity to develop your career in a professional, friendly and pleasant working environment, as well as an occupational pension scheme, generous holidays, gym, and childcare facilities.

CLOSING DATE: We encourage early applications because we will be reviewing applications on a regular basis, so the call may close earlier than this stated date if suitable candidates are identified.
