Job Details
Bristol University Press, a specialist social sciences publisher and home of the award-winning Policy Press, is looking to appoint a Production Assistant to join our expanding production team to provide administrative support.
The Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the Production team which involves recording title production data, record keeping and preparing reports and assisting with meetings. The Production Assistant under supervision will manage the reprinting of titles and will handle the amendments to previously published titles to produce them as "first time in paperback".
The successful candidate should have proven administrative experience in a relevant role, preferably within a publishing Production Team and experience of publishing database systems eg Klopotek, Aries Editorial Manager. We are looking for someone with good attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
This role represents an excellent opportunity to enter into a production career, working as part of a small team you will be introduced to many aspects of both book and journal publishing.
