Job Details
Candidates must have a PhD in Crop Production, Soil Science or Microbiology and experience in conducting field experiments and focus on the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions from soil in agricultural areas and processes involved in the nitrogen and carbon cycles.
The candidate will contribute with analysis and integration of results generated for publication in high impact journals. Advanced level in Portuguese is mandatory, as the person might have to interact with field workers. Fluency in English is also required. Some knowledge about sugarcane crop and production is desirable. The candidate must have a record of publications in specialized journals with high impact factor.
The candidate must be available to move immediately to Sorocoba, São Paulo State, Brazil, where part of the project will be developed (Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCAR), Rodovia João Leme dos Santos (SP-264), km 110, Bairro do Itinga, Brazil).

The postdoc fellowship is open to Brazilian and foreign scholars. The person selected will receive a postdoctoral fellowship award of BRL 7,174.80 per month for 24 months (can be renewed for another 12 months).
