Medical and Scientific Affairs Director, Spain

Key responsibilities of the role:

* Build lasting relationships with medical and clinical laboratory KOLs, reporting to the VP of Medical and Scientific Affairs
* Establish clinical and economic benefits for different care pathways (market access and HTE)
* Build the POC testing ecosystem around the company's offering
* Manage and monitor all regional clinical studies in conjunction with senior management.
* Keep a strong pipeline of medical and scientific interest and dialogue to stimulate debate internationally

This is a senior role with high strategic responsibility. As an "individual contributor" you will be free of operative management responsibilities, and expected to focus fully on cultivating the Med. Wiss. community in relevant therapeutic areas.

As a broad and strategic senior position in a major leader in the diagnostic and analysis space, this role demands a strong background in influencing decision-makers and thought leaders in the medical scientific area. Other key requirements include:

* PhD in Clinical Biochemistry (or related field), MD, MD/PhD, DVM, and/or PharmD
* 5 years of relevant industry experience, including experience and/or desire to work both hands-on managing clinical studies and as a liaison in the medical community
* Extensive experience in managing a clinical trial ecosystem
* Good facility in medical networking
* Ideally previous experience in the POC/IVD Diagnostics space or medical devices
