Job opportunity within the École et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre (EOST) at the University of Strasbourg for a highly qualified and motivated young researcher to fill a continuing teaching and research position in the area of Magmatic Petrology. The candidate will be affiliated to the Institut de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg (IPGS), a joint laboratory between CNRS and the University of Strasbourg (https://eost.unistra.fr/recherche/ipgs/).
We are seeking an individual with research interests and teaching expertise primarily in the area of petrology with a focus on magmatic processes in the continental crust. The candidate will be expected to undertake independent research in the field of magmatic petrology linked to geodynamics and/or hydrothermal processes in the continental lithosphere, supervise research students, teach and lead field classes for undergraduate and graduate students.
The successful candidate will be appointed to a full-time, permanent position after one year in the position.
