The Graduate School is seeking a passionate senior academic for the role of Associate Professor/Professor in Nursing to contribute to our growing and dynamic graduate-only school at Victoria University of Wellington within the Faculty of Health. The School is uniquely located at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand's capital city with strong relationships with national policy and health service stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide research leadership within the School and undertake postgraduate research supervision at Masters and PhD level. The role will also involve providing strategic leadership and teaching into our new Doctor of Nursing programme and the advanced practice Master of Nursing Science programmes.

The successful applicant will be a doctorally-prepared academic with extensive experience in teaching and supervising at postgraduate level. They should also demonstrate a strong international reputation in research and possess an excellent record of academic leadership and research scholarship, both in terms of publications and funded research. Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment at the level of Associate Professor.

Professional registration as a nurse is an advantage.

This is a permanent full time FTE position and commences as early as January 2019.
