Leading Design Engineer for a Global Supplier of Automotive Components

Our client is a leading global supplier of automotive components and systems, including instrument panels, console systems, door panels, headliners and overhead systems to automakers around the world and now they're looking for a Leading Design Engineer to supervise their Design team.

Your tasks will be:

• Preparation of development data in cooperation with the technical development department in order to ensure the manufacturability of the part and the tools feasibility
• Ensuring that proposed solutions are in line with project requirements (DFA, DFM, QDF, finite element method, dimensional analysis)
• Supervising the design team to ensure timely delivery of CAD data of the right quality and at the estimated time

We require:

• Technical University degree, ideally the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of intensive experience in the design, management and development of a contract focused on automotive
• Experience with CAD systems in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of working with PC, MS Office
• Knowledge of systems and processes GD & T, DFM, DFA, CAE / FEA, CAD
• German language is advantage
• Excellent negotiation and organizational skills, managerial skills
• Experience with team leadership
• Willingness to travel
