Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor in Geriatric Medicine (Ref.: 201801124)
Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor in Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Medicine, to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year contract.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registerable with the Hong Kong Medical Council.
They should have a track record of research in geriatric medicine, and of clinical services in geriatric medicine. Previous teaching experience is required. The appointee will take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervision of postgraduate students, academic research, and clinical services. He/She is also expected to perform administrative duties at Departmental and/or Faculty level. Information about the Department can be obtained at http://www.medic.hku.hk/.
A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
