The Faculty of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in political science to begin as early as April 1, 2019. The position is open with respect to the field of specialization. The Faculty seeks to appoint a promising junior scholar who demonstrates potential for making significant contribution to the profession in his or her field of expertise with theoretically innovative and methodologically sound research, and excellence in teaching. A successful candidate will have a rigorous training in formal, empirical, or normative methods.

Waseda University, founded in 1882, is a leading private research university located in central Tokyo. As part of the University's internationalization initiative, the Faculty of Political Science and Economics has offered English-based degree programs both at the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2010. The programs offer a diverse and dynamic academic community to talented students from all around the world.

Please note that the recruitment process involves three stages: 1) document screening; 2) campus visit including research presentation and an interview with the search committee; and 3) interview with the dean.
