Forensic Psychologist - Looked After Children

Do you believe it's a privilege to help children and young people with troubled upbringings fulfill their potential?

Do you have a good knowledge of psychological therapies such as CBT, EMDR and DBT?

Is 'resilience' your middle name?

If so, I want to hear from you!

My well-respected client is experiencing rapid growth and are on the lookout for Forensic Psychologists like you to help them with their mission to provide therapeutic intervention and care for looked-after children and adolescents (aged 10-18).

You'll be part of a close-knit clinical team who use a range of psychological therapies that are dynamically reviewed which means your input will be welcome and you'll feel fully supported in your day-to-day activities.

The looked-after children and adolescents have multiple and complex needs from exposure to trauma and neglect, so you're guaranteed to never have a dull moment. You'll be presented with challenging, volatile and aggressive behaviour which makes it oftentimes very difficult to engage. Therefore you'll gain valuable experience by using different therapies to build up trust and see progress over a period of time.

The salary is competitive based on the level of your previous experience (both newly qualified and experienced Forensic Psychologists are welcome to apply). You'll enjoy a car allowance making it convenient for you to travel.

This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, giving you stability in your career.

Interested? Great! You'll need:

- a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology (HCPC registered)

- a clean driver's licence, your own car and readiness to travel to numerous sites every day across Shropshire, North Wales and/or Mid Wales

- proven experience with children and adolescents with challenging behaviour

- resilience, patience and a therapeutic approach

- an enhanced DBS check (I can assist you with this)

Interviews are happening soon, so call me, Helen McKissick, today for a confidential chat on 0207 940 2749 ext 3415 or send in your CV in word format to h.mckissick@nonstop-recruitment.com
