Marketing and Communications Manager
The Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) is a research institute of the University of Queensland (UQ), supported by the Queensland Government through a core grant and research agreement with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF). As one of the few research-intensive universities worldwide located in a subtropical environment, UQ is a global leader in agriculture and food science research in subtropical and tropical production systems.

QAAFI’s vision is to improve the productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of tropical and subtropical food, fibre and agribusiness industries.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing QAAFI’s communications and marketing activities to support the Institute’s enterprise and raise awareness of research capabilities, expertise and value to industry partners, government and the community.
You should possess qualifications in a relevant discipline and have a strong desire to develop a strategic marketing and communication plan for the Institute. You will need to have experience in engagement with key stakeholder and an ability to source sponsorship arrangements. A strong leadership style with highly developed interpersonal skills is a must. Experience in the higher education, research or agriculture industries is desired.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

This is a full-time continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811 to $104,214 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up 17% (total package will be in the range $108,588 - $121,930 p.a.).
